Toulouse, France (February 16, 2018) – UWINLOC Prepares for Quick Scale Up with the Help of Industry Experts and New Headquarters

UWINLOC, pioneers of the first worldwide battery-less tag for indoor location, has moved their headquarters out of the AIRBUS BizLab incubator to a bigger ‘home’ for its international team of 40 people with 10 nationalities. The young SME has also recruited high-level managers to structure and consolidate the anticipated ramp-up.

Created in 2015 by its two co-founders, Eric Cariou and Jan Mennekens, UWINLOC has secured a bigger space that will occupy more than 500 meters squared spread throughout an entire ground floor as a result of their rapid global expansion. The new office space is also key in UWINLOC’s growth plan; the group is planning to recruit over 50 new members over the next three years and is currently creating offices across Europe, Asia, and North America.

The growth triggered by UWINLOC’s disruptive technology will require strong experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operational excellence and business development. The profiles recruited to address these challenges come from companies such as Qualcomm, Airbus, British Telecom, 3M, Alcatel-Lucent and Texas Instruments. Some of the positions filled include Supply Chain Director, Customer Excellence Director, and Chief Sales Officer. They will be primarily securing a successful product ramp-up of UWINLOC’s complete solution.

“We have been bringing on many experts at a rapid pace, those who were excited to be a part of the project. This move marks amajor milestone for the company in the middle of an important growth period,” explains Eric Cariou, CEO of UWINLOC.“We’re expanding thanks to the high demand for our product. It’s a rewarding accomplishment to be a disruptor in the market and witness the positive impact it has for the industry and the potential to be a true game-changer.”

Yesterday the group celebrated a special ribbon-cutting ‘inauguration’ event at their new address, Impasse Louis Pueyo Bât. 2 (Blagnac, France) to kick-off the opening of their new headquarters.
