The ambition of UWINLOC (the “Company”) is to provide high standards of transparency in personal data processing. This way, the Company contributes to creating a safer environment for your Personal Data when you use the Website.

This Policy is intended to inform you of the rights you can exercise with regards to the use of your personal data by the Company. It also describes the measures implemented to protect them.

The Company is responsible for processing personal data concerning the management of the Website. Said processing is implemented in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, especially the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”).

Capitalised terms in this Policy but not otherwise defined, have the same meaning as in the GTCU.

Any reference in the Policy to “you” or “your” means you as a user of the Website.

What personal data does UWINLOC collect?

When visiting the Website, you may provide the Company with personal data such as your surname, first name, email address and/or phone number.

How is your personal data collected?

You directly provide the Company with most of the personal data collected. The Company collects data and processes data when you:

  • voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email
  • use or view the Website via your browser’s cookies
  • complete a form on the Website

Why is your personal data collected?

The Company collects and processes your personal data in order for you to benefit from services we offer.

The Company can in particular collect your personal data to answer your requests for information and better understand your expectations.

In the online forms, compulsory fields are marked with an asterisk. Your answers to the compulsory questions allow the Company to personalise your request.

How is your personal data used?

Your personal data will be processed according to the purposes described below. It will only be stored by the Company for the amount of time needed to fulfil these purposes.

SALES, MEDIA AND PARTNERSHIPS

Any of your personal data collected in the sales contact form may be processed by the Company for a duration of five (5) years in order to answer your particular enquiry. It can be transferred to the Company`s commercial teams in order to get in touch directly.

Only with your consent, and occasionally via email, you may be contacted with news that may be of interest to you.

After a period of five (5) years, your personal data will be deleted from the Company’s database.

JOBS

Any of your personal data communicated in the jobs contact form may be used by the Company for a duration of two (2) years in order to contact you about a job offer.

After a period of two (2) years, your personal data will be deleted from the Company’s database.

Who will have access to your personal data?

Your personal data may be disclosed only to the Company’s departments tasked with the relevant processing. In no event will your Personal Data be transferred to a third party.

How is your personal data stored and protected?

The Company will use appropriate measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal data and prevent it from being altered, damaged or accessed by unauthorised third parties.

What are your data protection rights?

You have a right to access, query, modify, rectify or delete, or request the portability of your personal data.

You can also restrict and/ or object the processing of your personal data under certain conditions, notably regarding its use by the Company for job contact or direct marketing.

Accordingly, from the receipt of your request, the Company commits to respond to your request within one (1) month but reserves the right to reject any request it deems inappropriate.

What are cookies?

What types of cookies does UWINLOC use?

Cookies that are installed on your server when you surf the Website which are exclusively aimed at enabling or facilitating communication through electronic means or which are strictly necessary for the provision of services you require (languages cookies, identification cookies…) or statistics cookies or other cookies under the following conditions:

When cookies require your prior consent to the installation, you are asked through the link “More information” in the banner displayed on the front page, and the pursuit of the navigation on the Website means your acceptance.

How does UWINLOC use cookies?

Statistics cookies enable the Company to measure the number of visits, the number of pages views, in addition to the activity of visitors on the Website including their return rate. For returning visitors, a statistical tool creates a cookie with a unique identifier, which will be stored for a maximum of twenty-four (24) months.

Your IP address is also captured to determine your location. It is immediately rendered anonymous after your navigation on the Website, which prevents your identification as a physical person. Statistics data on the site traffic are first collected by the Internet service provider and then returned to the Company in an aggregated and anonymous way with a web interface to which only the Internet service provider has access.
